There is a website called MyDeathSpace.com
It lists all the people who have a myspace page that have died. It is probably one of my favorite websites to browse.
Too many teenagers are getting into car accidents. Too many car accidents involving alcohol. Bunch of drug overdoses and gang shootings. I'm glad I'll never be a statistic on that site. It's not that I don't have a myspace (not any more atleast), it's just that I'm never going to die. My GGM lived to 101, my GM and GP are 80+ and probably going to live to 90+.
In other news, moe.down was pretty fucking sweet!! Fishbone is an amazing live band and I'm glad that I got to see them atleast once in my lifetime. PUSA were great, just like in March. The Benevento/Russo Duo (whom i'm tempted to call 'Bene Russo'...you know, like Rene Russo) impressed me enough. Levon Helm is old. Lynch wasn't bad, but they played too early for me to enjoy. moe. was moe. I'm pissed that we missed the U-melt sets from Friday, but it's not something that's going to ruin my weekend. The people we stayed with there were pretty cool, even though most of them were from NJ. Bobby felt bad about them smoking us up all weekend. I gotta teach that kid to not care so much. I mean, I understand that they let us stay in there area and let us use their tables and tents, but these people did more drugs in one weekend than I've done in a few years!!
I didn't get to sleep until around 3 am on friday night, and was woken up in 3 hours by someone yelling at a Cowboys fan!! Both parties involved were still awake from drinking all night!!
But yeah, it was fun. Probably going back next year, and I'm probably going to be spending my time with the same people, I'll just be more prepared this time around (blunts, chron, pieces, hookah maybe?, festival hat).
I also cancelled my WoW subscription. Well, I just suspended payments on it. That's just how it works. You don't really cancel it incase you find yourself wanting to return to the game. So now I'm an x-box gamer. Look up H3bRu on xbox live and that's me. It's about time that I got my 360 anyway.
I can not wait to move out of this house I'm living in. That won't be until July...fuck!

Obligatory Post about "The Dark Knight"
Here are my thoughts on the movie:
-Christian Bale is one of my heterosexual man crushes. He joins a list that includes Maynard James Keenan and that black guy from The Real World: San Diego. I think it was san diego. He was the black guy in glasses and never got involved in drama. And the asian chick in that episode was pretty fucking hot too. She didn't get involved in much drama either. Yeah, i bet she could suck a bowling ball through a garden hose.
-Michael Caine is an old british gentlemen.
-Two-Face was done well. It reminded me of the animated series Two-Face, appearance-wise atleast. I think Joker should have had more of an intimate knowledge of the 'Big Bad Harv' persona and used it to his advantage, rather than just play the revenge card.
-Harvey Dent went from being played by Lando to Sam Gerard to that guy from 'Thank you for Smoking'. Gotham's fucking weird!
-G-A-R-Y-O-L-D-M-A-N!
-Batman was more interested in Rachel Dawes, even though she got uglier.
-The Joker has a nice magic trick! Watch out!!
-Heath did a real good job as the Joker. I dont know much about the villian, but his portrayal seemed legit.
-What the hell was the Scarecrow still doing around? Didn't he have to catch a 'RED EYE' flight or something?
-Fuck the guy on the radio station who said it was alright. This is the same guy who said that the two best Foo Fighters songs are 'My Hero' and 'Best of You'. The muthafucker forgot like 8 songs: Everlong, Monkey Wrench, Wattershed, New Way Home, This Is A Call, Low, Have It All, DOA -> Hell, Baker St (cover, i know).
-Not enough dead hookers!
-Nice cameo by D'Bo!!
All in all, great movie, great experience! Heath has a good chance on winning the oscar for supporting actor.

7 Greatest Bands I'll (probably) never see live
If you don't know me, then you don't know about my love for live music. Prior to the year 2000, I only went to two different shows. One was my 16th birthday (monster magnet, fear factory, rob zombie) in '98, and one was a year later in December (Phish). If you want to try and figure shit out, here's a hint: Saw both shows in Philly. And phish opened with harry hood (too easy i know). Since 2000, I've probably been to close to 100 shows.
My scoutmaster mentioned to me in June that the summer of 2008 was the summer of concerts. So far I've got to agree with him. Been to some really good shows and there a few more coming up that I'm psyched about.
Unfortunately, there are bands that I would love to see live, but that's never going to happen. This list is in no particular order.
PANTERA - the Spanish word for 'panther'
One of the few things from Texas that I like. These guys were originally a glam metal act. Then they realized that glam metal is fucking ridiculous. So they decided to just rock black shirts, jeans, and shred. With the addition of singer Phil Anselmo, pantera became Pantera. Many fans and critics regard 'Cowboys From Hell' as the first official Pantera album, when they finally defined themselves as a band. Unfortunately, Phil and his drug use didn't sit to well with the band. They eventually went their separate ways. Things took a sad turn when guitarist Dimebag Darrell was shot onstage at a show he was playing with his new band, Damageplan. The metal world cried a tear of blood.
Era to catch them live - post-'Cowboys From Hell'; pre-Dimebag's death
Queen - quite possibly the greatest live act ever
If you don't know anything about Queen, then you aren't a music fan. These guys could do it all. If this band had anyone but Freddie Mercury leading them, you wouldn't have heard of them. Yes, the musicianship throughout their career was unprecedented and influential on all rock, Freddie's voice and stage presences made them spectacular. Anytime I see a clip of them performing at Live Aid in '85, I get chills. Maybe it was because that was possibly the single greatest live performance of the last 100 years, or maybe it was because it was one of, if not, the final times Freddie graced his fans with his awesomeness. Freddie soon announced that he was gay, that he had AIDS, then he died. The world is still in mourning.
Era to catch them live - 'A Night at the Opera' era, when Bohemian Rhapsody was THE song
Hot Snakes - Hardcore Garage Punk
Hot Snakes was formed by Rick Froberg and John Reis, who also formed Pitchfork and Drive Like Jehu. This collaboration turned out to be their best, spawning 3 albums since 2000. Their primal aggressive sound found it's way into the hearts and ears of disgruntled youth, but never got enough of a following to keep them around. The duo decided to end this project, but they'll probably be back with something else to keep you guys entertained
Era to catch them live - Wherever and whenever they played
Oysterhead - USA's greatest rock trio super group
It's late 2000/early 2001. Phish just went on a 2 year hiatus; Primus has been on hiatus, and The Police haven't played a show together in nearly 15 years. That's when Trey, Les and Steward headed up to Trey's barn in Vermont and created 'The Grand Pecking Order', a thirteen track roller coaster of an amalgam. All aspects of the contributing artists can be heard and work really well upon each other. Stu's syncopated drumming to Les's unique bass playing and Trey's meticulous guitar work all prove that even if your band is dead, there are other who want to make music just as much as you.
Era to catch them live - They only toured in 2000/2001.
Death From Above 1979 - Canadia's furious dance rock duo
Featuring distorted basses, disco like beats, and a synth played by whoever had hands free, DFA1979 took over the radio waves in early '05 with their his 'Romantic Rights'. If you don't know what I'm talking about, see if you can find a video of this song when they performed it on 'Late Night with Conan O'Brian'. Then you will know what's up. As with all good things, they didn't last past august '06, and split for a multitude of reasons.
Era to catch them live - pre 'You're a Woman, I'm a Machine'.
At the Drive-In - From the ashes comes the Phoinex
This band formed in El Paso back in the mid 90s. They went on to pretty much define the post hardcore genre. In 2000, the released 'Relationship of Command' which brought them to the attention of the general public. Unfortunately, it was not meant to last. A little of a year later, the band split. The singer and lead guitarist went on to form The Mars Volta, while the rest of the band formed Sparta. Even though these new bands could steak a claim as to having greater success than the original, seeing them together would have been a great experience for all.
Era to catch them live - pre-'Relationship of Command', post 'In/Casino/Out'
Pink Floyd - The wizard of Oz was never the same.
Probably one of the great bands to exist, they took the art rock influences of original guitar Syd Barrett and transformed it into a psychadelic rock that created the single greatest album of an era 'Dark Side of the Moon'. They have some of the most recognizable songs and images associated with them than any other band that ever existed. Bassists Roger Waters took leave from them in 1985 after releasing 'The Final Cut' with them (this album is considered a Waters solo album), and the band took a bread in 94, but reunited for a one time performance at live 8.
Era to see them live - '68-75

I finally have this idea!!!
I've always wanted a blog, not some bullshit on myspace or facebook. Those are social networking websites where you can make friends and do shit, and that's nothing I really want to do.
I want talk about shit that I like and then listen to you tell me how wrong I am. Then I'll laugh in your face because, in all seriousness, what do I care what you have to say?
Anyway, welcome to the inaugural edition of G4M3 Blun7z. This was gonna be the title of a webcomic about video gamers (because we need more of those), but since I don't know anyone who can draw well enough, changes were made. Instead, GBz will be me (and maybe some friends) talking about video games, music, drugs, movies, and other shit.
Now you are probably asking yourself 'Why should I read this blog over others?'. Well, I really don't have an answer for that. It may be because you touch yourself at night. Or maybe because I fucked your mom and your sister at the same time. There are so many reasons, I might have to start another blog just to list them.
I'll be your host here at GBz. The name is Oz (like the prison show). I've been a video gamer since the late 80's when my parents bought me my first NES. Since then, I've been constantly playing video games competitely and cooperatively with my friends across the following platforms: NES, SNES, Genesis, Dreamcast, N64, PS1 + 2, PSP. Xbox, Xbox 360 and PC. I've also spent a good amount of time at local arcades and downloaded emulators over the years. I wouldn't consider myself the ultimate authority on video gaming, but I've been around the block to know some things.
Oh, and the tattoo of Metal Man from Mega Man 2 helps.
So yeah, if you don't like what I write, then don't read it. I'm just doing this because you are a tool.
